Le Sortudo Demo and Review: A 3x3 Hold & Win

In short — our verdict: 7.4/10 — Le Sortudo drops the 6x5 cluster grid for a 3x3 Hold & Win game on nine lines, with a 2,500x ceiling and four published return builds: 96.27% by default, then 94.29%, 92.23% and 86.28%. Our score: 7.4/10. Stakes run to €400, among the widest in the series.

Fifteen of the other sixteen titles play on a 6x5 grid. Le Sortudo uses 3x3 with nine lines and a Hold & Win round, which it shares only with Le Bandit Hold & Win.

Le Slots Strengths and Weaknesses

Pros: What Works Well

  • Pro: A 3x3 Hold & Win structure that only one other title in this series uses
  • Pro: Stakes reach €400.00, joint widest range across the seventeen games
  • Pro: Four return builds published, plus a return for each of the two paid spin modes
  • Pro: A five-cent minimum keeps the entry as cheap as the cluster titles
  • Pro: Coins and Jackpot Markers make the win condition easy to read

Cons: What Holds It Back

  • Con: Only two cards into the feature, where most titles in the series sell four or five
  • Con: The 2,500x ceiling ties for the lowest in the series
  • Con: Le Bandit Hold & Win prints identical figures, so the structure is not exclusive
  • Con: The 3x3 grid gives shorter rounds than the cascade titles
  • Con: The lowest build returns 86.28%, roughly ten points under the default
First-hand test: We opened Le Sortudo in the studio demo, game id 2613 on build 1.2.4. The grid is the first surprise: three reels by three rows, where all but one of the other titles run 6x5. Nine paylines replace cluster scoring. Coins and Jackpot Markers fill the grid, and three or more of either, or a combination, pays. The panel is headed Feature Spins, not Buy Bonus, and it holds no bonus purchase at all: both cards charge per spin and carry an ACTIVATE button. Rainbow Fortune Hold & Win runs at €70.00 and Rainbow Epic Drop Hold & Win at €200.00, which is 35x and 100x the stake. Both publish a return: 96.29% and 96.28%. The feed gives 96.27% and a 2,500x cap, and the stepper runs €0.05 to €400.00.

Le Sortudo Plays on Three Reels

Three by three, nine lines, Hold & Win. That sentence describes one other title in this catalogue, Le Bandit Hold & Win, and nothing more.

Twelve of the other sixteen titles build on a 6x5 grid with cluster scoring, two pay on 19 fixed lines, one scores by ways and one shares this 3x3 shape. Here the grid fills with Coins and Jackpot Markers. Inside the Hold & Win round a full grid or an activated Pot of Gold decides what it pays.

Smaller grids usually mean shorter rounds and flatter outcomes, and the 2,500x ceiling fits that reading.

What a Le Sortudo Grid Holds

Coins carry values and Jackpot Markers sit alongside them. Three or more Coins, three or more Markers, or a combination of both triggers a win. Clovers are not part of this picture: the rules let them land only inside the Hold & Win round.

A Rainbow or Epic Rainbow symbol opens the two Hold & Win rounds. The pair of paid modes does not make that more likely; it replaces the trigger altogether, and the rules say so outright: FS symbols cannot land while either mode is running.

Two Le Sortudo Cards, Not Four

The menu is thin by series standards. Rainbow Fortune costs 35x the stake and returns a published 96.29%; Rainbow Epic Drop costs 100x and returns 96.28%. Both read High volatility.

Both sit above the 96.27% base, which is unusual: on most titles here the cheap door drags the figure down. Four builds appear on the studio page as well, running 96.27%, 94.29%, 92.23% and 86.28%.

Stakes to €400 on a Small Grid

This game accepts up to €400.00 a spin, matching Le Bandit Hold & Win and Le Football Fan. Among seventeen titles only those three go that high.

Pairing the widest stake range with the lowest ceiling is an unusual combination. A player betting €400 is risking a great deal for a maximum of 2,500 times it, where Le Cowboy caps at ten times that multiple on a €40.00 limit.

The Brazilian Twin

Le Bandit Hold & Win publishes exactly the same card: 96.27% default, 2,500x ceiling, €0.05 to €400.00, two paid spin modes at 35x and 100x a spin returning 96.29% and 96.28%, and the same four builds.

The difference is setting. Le Sortudo puts Smokey on a Brazilian beach; the other keeps the city dress of the original Le Bandit. The numbers are identical, but three things do separate them on paper: the game ids (2613 against 2465), the client builds we ran, and the jackpot names, where Le Sortudo prints MEDIO and MAJOR against MAJOR and MEGA.

Both Hold and Win titles sit apart from the rest, as the full Le series catalogue makes clear.

Our Le Slots Verdict and Rating

Verdict: Le Sortudo sits apart from the cluster and line titles, and that is its appeal. A 3x3 Hold & Win game among fifteen bigger grids gives a genuinely different session. We do not recommend treating the two cards as different products. They return 96.29% and 96.28%, one hundredth apart, while one costs 35x your stake a spin and the other 100x. Check which of the four builds your casino runs. Between 96.27% and 86.28% there is about ten points of difference. The rules screen prints a figure for the client you are in, though we could only test it against the default build.

Key Terms Used on This Page

Hold & Win
A feature where symbols lock in place across respins; a full grid pays out and clears, and the round ends when the 3 refilling lives run out.
Jackpot Marker
A symbol counting toward a win alongside Coins, paying 5x, 25x, 250x or 2,500x the bet from the signs beside the grid.
Payline
A fixed winning pattern; Le Sortudo uses nine, where the cluster titles use none at all.
Return build
One of the four configurations a casino can license here, from 96.27% down to 86.28%.

Deposits and identity checks stay on the operator's own secure site.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

Le Sortudo prompts questions about its shape rather than its bonuses: why three reels, and what Hold & Win changes about how a session runs.

Is Le Sortudo a cluster game?

No. It uses a 3x3 grid with nine paylines and a Hold & Win feature, which it shares only with Le Bandit Hold & Win.

How many paid cards are there?

Two, both charged per spin, at €70.00 and €200.00 on a €2.00 stake. They return a published 96.29% and 96.28%, barely apart despite the price gap.

What triggers a win?

Three or more Coin symbols, three or more Jackpot Markers, or a combination of the two landing together on the three-by-three grid.

How high can you stake?

Four hundred euros, which ties with Le Bandit Hold & Win and Le Football Fan for the widest range in the series.

Does it share figures with another game?

Yes. Le Bandit Hold & Win publishes the identical card: same default, same builds, same ceiling, same two card prices.

Which builds exist?

Four, listed on the studio page: 96.27%, 94.29%, 92.23% and 86.28%. The feed reports the first as the default configuration.

How do we spot a structural outlier?

We record grid size, scoring method and card count for every game id, then look for titles that break the pattern. Le Sortudo broke two at once.
