Le Bandit Hold & Win Demo: The Spin-Off on 3x3

In short — our verdict: 7.2/10 — Le Bandit Hold & Win takes the series' best-known character onto a 3x3 grid with nine lines and a Hold & Win feature, capped at 2,500x and published in four return builds: 96.27% by default, then 94.29%, 92.23% and 86.28%. Our score: 7.2/10. Le Sortudo prints the same card.

The original Le Bandit runs 6x5 with clusters and a 10,000x cap. This spin-off runs 3x3 with nine lines and stops at 2,500x, which makes the shared name misleading.

Le Slots Strengths and Weaknesses

Pros: What Works Well

  • Pro: Four return builds on the studio page plus a published return for each of the two paid spin modes
  • Pro: Stakes reach €400.00, among the three widest ranges in the series
  • Pro: A Hold & Win structure that only one other title here uses
  • Pro: Five cents at the bottom of the range, as cheap as the cluster games
  • Pro: The win condition is simple: Coins, Jackpot Markers, or a mix of the two

Cons: What Holds It Back

  • Con: The name promises Le Bandit, and the game shares almost nothing with it mechanically
  • Con: Only two cards, where most titles in the series sell four or five
  • Con: The 2,500x ceiling is a quarter of the original Le Bandit's
  • Con: Le Sortudo publishes an identical card under Brazilian art
  • Con: The build in a casino lobby may differ from the demo's, and no public list says which one
First-hand test: We ran this in the studio demo, game id 2465 on build 1.5.0, straight after the original Le Bandit, which made the contrast obvious. Six reels became three. Cluster scoring became nine fixed lines. The 10,000x ceiling became 2,500x. The two games share a name, a raccoon and a Paris palette, and that is where the resemblance ends. Inside, the panel is headed Feature Spins and sells no bonus entry: both cards are per-spin modes at €70.00 and €200.00, or 35x and 100x the stake, both marked High. Both publish a return: 96.29% for Rainbow Fortune and 96.28% for Rainbow Epic Drop. The feed reports 96.27% and a 2,500x cap, and the stepper runs €0.05 to €400.00.

A Misleading Name, Stated Plainly

A player who enjoyed Le Bandit and searches for more of it will find this title and reasonably expect a variation. It is not one. The grid, the scoring, the ceiling and the feature all differ.

What carries over is the character and the colour palette. Everything a player would actually feel while playing has changed.

Our view is that this deserves saying up front rather than halfway down a review.

Coins, Markers and a Filling Grid

Coins and Jackpot Markers fill a three-by-three grid. Three or more Coins, three or more Markers, or a mix of both pays out. Clovers belong to the Hold & Win round rather than to ordinary spins.

A Rainbow or Epic Rainbow symbol opens the Hold & Win rounds, where symbols lock in place across respins. A full grid pays out and clears for the next spin; the round ends when the lives are gone.

Both Doors Publish a Return

Rainbow Fortune costs 35x the stake and returns a published 96.29%. Rainbow Epic Drop costs 100x and returns 96.28%. Neither price is a one-off: both cards sit under ACTIVATE, so each FeatureSpins price is what you pay on every spin while the mode runs. Both read High volatility.

What is not visible is the build. This game ships in four of them, 96.27%, 94.29%, 92.23% and 86.28%, and the operator picks one. The rules screen prints a return figure for the client you are in, and that is the closest thing to an answer. We cannot show it follows a licensed build: the demo serves the default configuration and rejects a request for any other.

Why Le Sortudo Prints This Card

Le Sortudo is the same game with a beach theme. Same default, same four builds, same ceiling, same stake range, same two card prices. The jackpot values match too, though the labels do not: this game prints MINI, MAJOR, MEGA and GRAND where Le Sortudo prints MINI, MEDIO, MAJOR and GRAND.

Hacksaw publishes no release date for this title at all, while it does print one for Le Sortudo: . Whether that counts as two games or one game twice is a judgement call, and the published figures do not help you make it.

Who the Structure Suits

Hold & Win rounds are shorter and more legible than cascade bonuses. You can see the grid filling, which is the appeal.

Against that, a 2,500x cap with a €400.00 stake ceiling puts a strange shape on the risk: the largest bets in the series chasing the smallest multiple. That pairing suits a player who wants frequent resolution rather than a long shot at a big number.

How this spin-off sits against the cluster games is covered in the full Le series catalogue.

Our Le Slots Verdict and Rating

Verdict: Le Bandit Hold & Win is a decent small-grid game wearing a name that sets the wrong expectation. If you want Hold & Win, it does the job, and the €400.00 stake ceiling is genuinely useful. We do not recommend coming here from the original Le Bandit expecting a related experience. The grid, the scoring and the ceiling are all different, and the shared name is the only thing connecting them. Between this and Le Sortudo there is nothing to choose on figures. Pick the art.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

The first thing to settle about this title is what it shares with Le Bandit, because the name suggests far more than the figures support.

Is this a version of Le Bandit?

No. It runs a 3x3 grid with nine lines and a Hold & Win feature, against the 6x5 cluster grid and 10,000x ceiling of the original.

What is the ceiling here?

Two thousand five hundred times the bet, which is a quarter of the original Le Bandit's and ties for lowest in the series.

How many paid cards are offered?

Two, and neither is a bonus purchase. Both charge per spin, at €70.00 and €200.00 on a €2.00 stake, and they publish 96.29% and 96.28%.

How does Hold & Win work?

Symbols lock in place across respins. A full grid pays out and clears, and the round itself ends once the lives are used up.

Does another game share these numbers?

Yes, Le Sortudo. Same default return, same four builds, same ceiling, same stake range and the same two card prices.

What stakes does it accept?

From five cents to four hundred euros, one of the three widest ranges across the seventeen games we measured in this series.

How do we judge a spin-off?

We compare the grid, the scoring method, the ceiling and the feature against the parent title, rather than relying on a shared name.
