Le Prechaun Demo and Review: Five Return Builds

In short — our verdict: 7.7/10 — Le Prechaun ships in five return builds, from 97.52% down to 86.31%, the widest spread in the series. Our score: 7.7/10. Its default is 96.28%, and your casino chooses which build you play.

Eleven percentage points separate the best Le Prechaun build from the worst. Hacksaw publishes all five. The rules screen prints a return figure for the client you are in, but we could never test it against anything except the default build.

Le Slots Strengths and Weaknesses

Pros: What Works Well

  • Pro: Hacksaw publishes all five return builds on its own game page, from 97.52% down to 86.31%
  • Pro: The top build at 97.52% is the highest figure anywhere in this series
  • Pro: Five cards, every one with a published return
  • Pro: Position Multipliers are the headline mechanic rather than a bolt-on
  • Pro: A five-cent minimum stake keeps the entry low

Cons: What Holds It Back

  • Con: The lowest build returns 86.31%, roughly eleven points below the best, and no public list says which build a given casino runs
  • Con: The €1,000.00 Epic Drop entry costs 500x the stake and publishes exactly the same 96.31% as the €150.00 door
  • Con: BonusHunt FeatureSpins returns 96.25%, below the 96.28% default
  • Con: The stake stops at €50.00
  • Con: Hacksaw publishes no odds for the hidden Shamrock 'n' Roll round
First-hand test: We ran Le Prechaun in the studio demo, game id 2413 on build 1.17.0, at a €2.00 stake. The demo serves the default build, which the RGS feed reports as 96.28%. The five builds come from the GAME DATA block on Hacksaw's own game page, which the client does not repeat: 97.52%, 96.28%, 94.29%, 92.28% and 86.31%. The demo served the default build only. On Le Bandit we asked the RGS for a lower one directly and it answered "Invalid request!", and we have no reason to think this title behaves differently. Inside the client we recorded five cards at €6.00, €120.00, €150.00, €500.00 and €1,000.00. All five carry published returns between 96.25% and 96.31%, which is a far narrower band than the builds themselves.

Le Prechaun Has the Widest Build Spread in the Series

Five return builds, from 97.52% at the top to 86.31% at the bottom. That is a spread of 11.21 percentage points on one title, and it dwarfs the four-build spread on Le Bandit or the single published figure most of the series offers.

The default is 96.28%, confirmed by the studio's feed. Everything above and below it exists in operator lobbies that we cannot see from outside.

A player at the 86.31% build and a player at the 97.52% build are playing the same art with wildly different arithmetic. The screen gives each of them a figure; what it cannot prove is which build their casino licensed.

Five Le Prechaun Cards and Their Returns

All five cards publish a return, and they cluster tightly: 96.25%, 96.28%, 96.3%, 96.31% and 96.31%. The dearest card, RainbowRide Epic Drop at €1,000.00 a spin, publishes 96.31% and carries the client's Very high rating, the strongest warning in the menu.

Compare that spread with the builds. Across five cards the published returns vary by six hundredths of a point. Across five builds they vary by over eleven points.

The lesson is blunt. Which door you pick barely matters; which casino you play at matters enormously.

What the Le Prechaun Coins Reveal

Four coin tiers rather than three. The bottom runs 0.2x, 0.4x, 1x, 2x, 3x and 4x. The next covers 5x through 10x in single steps. Then 20x, 30x, 40x and 50x, and at the top 100x, 150x, 250x and 500x.

Position Multipliers are the mechanic the rules lead with, applying to the squares they sit on rather than to the whole grid.

Low Volatility Labels, for Once

Two cards here carry a Low volatility label: BonusHunt and Arc Adventure. Three of the five are FeatureSpins, and a FeatureSpins price is taken on every spin while the mode is active. RainbowRide and Clover the Top are Medium. Only Le Vampire uses Low more often, on four of its five cards.

Across the rest of the series the labels run Medium and High almost exclusively, so these two titles stand apart in how the studio rates its own rounds.

Where Le Prechaun Sits

The 15,000x ceiling matches Le Fisherman, Le Pharaoh, Le Digger and Le Vampire. The €0.05 floor is shared with Le Cowboy, Le Digger, Le Vampire, Le Sortudo and Le Bandit Hold & Win.

Its disclosure is among the best in the series, counting five builds plus a return for every one of the five cards. For a reader who wants to understand how Hacksaw actually configures a game, this title and Le Pharaoh are the two worth reading closely.

Why a casino's licensing choice outweighs anything you do at the buy menu is set out in how Hacksaw sets its return figures.

Our Le Slots Verdict and Rating

Verdict: Le Prechaun is the title to study if you want to see how much a casino's licensing choice matters. Eleven points separate its best and worst builds, and the studio publishes both ends plainly. We do not recommend the €1,000.00 Epic Drop purchase. Five hundred times your stake buys a published 96.31%, the identical figure the €150.00 door carries, and the client rates it Very high. Check which build your casino runs before anything else. On this game that single fact outweighs every choice you make at the buy menu.

Key Terms Used on This Page

One of five configurations Hacksaw ships for this game, chosen by the operator, from 97.52% to 86.31%.
Position Multiplier

Deposits and identity checks stay on the operator's own secure site.

What Else Do Readers Ask?

The questions here are about builds rather than bonuses: how far apart they are, and whether a player can tell which one is running. Hacksaw answers the first and not the second.

How many return builds exist?

Five, published on the studio's own game page: 97.52%, 96.28%, 94.29%, 92.28% and 86.31%. The default is the 96.28% figure.

Can you tell which build is live?

No. The rules screen prints a figure for the client you are in, but the demo only ever served us the default build.

Which card pays best?

RainbowRide FeatureSpins and the Epic Drop, both per-spin modes, publish 96.31%, though one costs 75 times your stake and the other 500 times.

What are Position Multipliers?

The headline mechanic here. They apply to the squares they land on rather than multiplying the entire grid, which the rules describe in full.

Is any purchase marked Low volatility?

Yes, two of five. Only Le Vampire uses that label more often, carrying it on four of its own doors.

How far do coin values go?

Up to 500x on the top tier, through four bands that start at 0.2x and climb in uneven steps across the ladder.

How do we read a build list?

We open the GAME DATA block on the studio's game page, where the published builds sit in one line, then confirm the default via its feed.
